    interested of/to ✗ → interested in ✓. بعد از in فعل -ing می‌آید: interested in learning (نه to learn). interested احساس آدم است و interesting ویژگی چیز: I'm interested ✓ / The book is interesting ✓.

    My sister is interested in astronomy and wants to study physics.

    خواهرم به ستاره‌شناسی علاقه دارد و می‌خواهد فیزیک بخواند.

    ماهر در، قوی در

    برای مهارت، at می‌آید نه in: good in maths ✗ → good at maths ✓. good for یعنی «مفید برای» (Fruit is good for you) و good at یعنی «ماهر در». بعد از at فعل -ing: good at swimming.

    Ryan is good at maths, but he is not good at remembering names.

    رایان در ریاضی قوی است، ولی در یادآوری اسم‌ها خوب نیست.

    ترسیدن از، ترس داشتن از

    «ترسیدن از» را from ترجمه نکنید: afraid from ✗ → afraid of ✓. توجه: I'm afraid (that) ... در گفتار مؤدبانه یعنی «متأسفانه»، مثلاً I'm afraid I can't come. بعد از of فعل -ing می‌آید: afraid of flying.

    My little brother is afraid of the dark and sleeps with the light on.

    برادر کوچکم از تاریکی می‌ترسد و با چراغ روشن می‌خوابد.

    famous of/with ✗ → famous for ✓ (دلیل شهرت). برای نقش یا شغل famous as می‌آید: famous as a poet. بعد از for فعل -ing: famous for being generous.

    Yazd is famous for its wind towers and traditional sweets.

    یزد به بادگیرها و شیرینی‌های سنتی‌اش مشهور است.

    با ... ازدواج کرده، همسرِ ...

    وضعیت ازدواج: be married to someone (married with someone ✗). خودِ عمل: marry someone بدون حرف اضافه (She married a pilot)، یا get married (to someone). «ازدواج با» را marry with ترجمه نکنید. (married with two children جمله‌ی درستی است، ولی معنی‌اش «متأهل و بچه‌دار» است، نه «همسرِ ... است».)

    Her brother is married to a dentist, and they live in Rasht.

    برادرش با یک دندان‌پزشک ازدواج کرده و آن‌ها در رشت زندگی می‌کنند.
